Pharmacists to raise awareness on the proper use of asthma medicines in the face of widespread lack of control of the disease

Asthma affects more than two million Spaniards and seven out of ten suffer from a lack of control of the disease, which poses a risk to their health and associated costs to the health system.

In order to to improve the levels of control of the disease, taking advantage of the proximity and professionalism of community pharmacists, the Action Guide for pharmacists "Appropriate use of oral corticosteroids and SABA for asthma" has been presented, the centrepiece of a health awareness campaign, which has been developed with the collaboration of AstraZeneca.
