Jesús Aguilar has been sworn in as president of the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain, during a ceremony presided over by the State Secretary for Health, Javier Padilla, which was also attended by a number of dignitaries.
Aguilar was joined by the rest of the Steering Committee, consisting of Jordi de Dalmases, Juan Pedro Rísquez and Marta Galipienzo, as vice-presidents; Raquel Martínez, secretary general; Rita de la Plaza, treasurer; and Manuel Ángel Galván, accountant.
Mr Aguilar said he was " very proud of what has been done" and set the three objectives that will mark this new mandate: "To continue advancing in the governance of the Spanish Pharmacy Representative Bodies; to strengthen our position as experts in medicines; and to enhance our positive impact on the social determinants of health".
